design with a point of view, right down to the floor plan.

we listen first. each project starts with a story: we start wide, then cut deep.

precise enough to trust, strange enough to remember.

listening matters. a café study.

warm brutalism.

dedo coffee, long beach

most coffee shops play music. this one was built to listen to it. the music is not background. it is the program.

espresso bar, long view

01 — a concept you can hear

a category is not a brief. a concept is. the espresso bar is the heart. the layout and the equipment behind the bar were planned as one system.

acoustic panels and shelving

02 — sound before surface

acoustics are not a finish. they come first. speaker positions, acoustic panels and bass traps were planned with the seating and the record storage.

custom tile with red grout, close

03 — dark, earthy, honest

warmth is not a color. it is a set of materials. custom tile, set with red grout. wood millwork where the eye can rest. daylight from the skylight.

04 — a room to listen

listening is a decision. so is the seat you do it in. the bar keeps the rhythm of coffee: order, pull, pour, go. two tempos, one room.

a listening room that hides its listening is just a café with speakers.

every room keeps a tempo. let's find yours.
